Steward job Description:
A steward helps keep a bar, restaurant, or lounge hygienic and clean, aids with dishwashing, and attends to patrons’ needs. The steward may also carry out fundamental administrative duties including taking reservations, answering the phone, and dispensing essential information.
To make sure that all sanitary requirements are satisfied, we are seeking for a dedicated steward. The steward will cater to patron needs, support wait staff, make sure all stations are stocked, and help maintain a clean and hygienic environment throughout the establishment. You’ll wash and put away the dishes, scrub the floors and the areas where food is prepared, restock the pantry, wipe the tables, and empty the trash.
You must be willing to put in a lot of effort and have the physical stamina to remain active during your shifts if you want to succeed as a steward. Customers should find you to be welcoming and helpful, and you should be good at working in a team.

Steward job Responsibilities:
- Cleaning, setting the tables, and adding tablecloths, candles, and seasonal accents.
- Welcoming clients, seating them, refilling their glasses with water, and bringing drinks from the bartender.
- Maintaining orderly menus and displaying them to clients.
- Assisting the wait staff with all facets of service and stocking the serving stations of the wait staff with napkins, utensils, trays, and condiments.
- Clearing the tables and getting them ready for the following clients.
- Helping with cleaning, opening, and closing duties.
- Removing food remnants from soiled pots, pans, plates, glasses, and Flatware before cleaning and putting them away.
- Helping to clean the restaurant, bar, kitchen, and equipment by sweeping, mopping, and polishing.
- Moving used linen between the laundry and housekeeping departments.
- Assisting with stock storage and unloading.
Steward job Requirements:
- A diploma from high school or an equivalent.
- Must be at least the legal drinking age to do so.
- A warm, courteous, and welcoming disposition.
- Strong teamwork and customer service abilities.
- The ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time.
- The ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills.
