Loading and unloading workers are responsible for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of materials, equipment, and products onto and off of trucks, trailers, and other vehicles. This job typically involves working in a warehouse or distribution center setting and may require the use of heavy machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

Loading And Un Loading Workers job Duties:
The primary duties of a loading and unloading worker may include:
- Inspecting and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move materials and products to and from storage areas and loading docks.
- Securing loads to ensure safe transport and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Loading and unloading trucks and other vehicles in a timely and efficient manner.
- Performing routine maintenance on material handling equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Following safety procedures and wearing personal protective equipment as required.
- Collaborating with other warehouse and distribution center staff to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of inventory and shipment activity.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, loading and unloading workers should have good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. They should also have experience operating material handling equipment and a strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations related to loading and unloading operations. Additionally, physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects is typically required.
