Trolley Boy Job Description:
As a Trolley Boy, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the parking areas of a retail store or supermarket. Your primary duty is to collect and return shopping carts/trolleys to designated areas within the store premises, ensuring they are readily available for customers’ use. Your role is essential in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth and hassle-free shopping experience.
Trolley Boy Job Responsibilities:
Cart Retrieval: Collecting shopping carts/trolleys from various locations, including parking lots, sidewalks, and store entrances, and bringing them back to the designated cart storage area.

Cart Organization: Arranging the collected carts/trolleys in an organized manner to ensure they are easily accessible for customers and store staff. This involves aligning and stacking the carts neatly to optimize space.
Customer Assistance: Assisting customers with loading or unloading their groceries or other purchases into their vehicles upon request. Providing friendly and helpful customer service, answering inquiries, and addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
Safety and Maintenance: Ensuring the cleanliness and proper functioning of shopping carts/trolleys. Regularly inspecting carts for damages, loose parts, or any safety hazards. Reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department.
Store Support: Assisting in other store duties as required, such as retrieving baskets, organizing parking areas, or assisting with inventory management during non-peak hours.
Adherence to Policies: Following all store policies and procedures, including safety guidelines, dress code, and work schedules. Adhering to any specific rules regarding the handling and operation of shopping carts/trolleys.
Trolley Boy Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physical fitness and ability to handle repetitive tasks, including pushing and pulling heavy loads.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain an orderly cart storage area.
